There are many elements and specific choices to be made in co-creating your website and corresponding marketing materials. Shortly after our initial meeting or phone conversation, you will be sent a Project Quote detailing the elements of your project that we discussed.

We will be happy to answer all your questions you during the initial consultation period with follow up phone calls or email exchanges. Our price includes one month of minor changes and/or updates and up to two hours of consultation.

What SLG Needs From You
1. An outline of your of website pages, starting with the homepage.
2. Designated titles for each page.
3. Text for each page in a separate Word doc.
4. Your color preferences.
5. Your digital logo. (Logo design available. See www.myfonts.com for type and color ideas.)
6. Photos and/or design elements you wish to incorporate. (See inexpensive stock photos at www.istock.com)
7. 20 Keywords and a brief Descriptive Sentence about what you have to offer.

What SLG Provides For You
1. Support, encouragement, and patience with the co-creation of your website
2. All SLG supported website hosted by www.onyxservers.com . Design available for all other web hosts without continuing technical support or e-commerce programming.
3. Custom design and layout, including HTML pages and working links
4. Custom graphics: home page design, color palette, typestyles, headers, design elements, and navigation.
5. Keyword and Descriptive Sentence meta tags and meta tag submission to Google. SLG does not guarantee listings on search engines because the proprietors of the search engine retain the exclusive right to determine listings.
6. Set up of 2 email accounts
7. The uploading of your site to your domain upon completion of the agreed upon work, and receipt of the total balance due.

Additional Services Available
We can assist you in assembling all the elements needed to create your site and will perform that work at our hourly rate of $100.

In consideration of the Client retaining Susan Lawton Graphics (hereafter referred to as “SLG”) to design or redesign a website and marketing material for the Client, it is agreed as follows:

1. Compensation and Terms
The Client retains SLG, and SLG agrees to perform services according to the specifications in the Project Quote.

SLG agrees to complete this project within the estimated budget, unless the Client requires additional work or services not originally agreed upon, or if the client requires more than 3 drafts or multiple or repeated changes that significantly increase the work required. SLG will not charge any additional fees above those specified in this contract without first consulting the Client and reaching an agreement regarding any such additional fees.

All materials and related information must be submitted to SLG in a timely fashion to facilitate project completion according to our mutually agreed upon timeline. If all text and graphics necessary to complete the work are not received within 30 days from the date of contract, the balance of payment for the project will be due, and project will be resumed upon receipt of materials.

The following fees shall apply:

50% is due after initial consultation and before work is begun. The remaining 50% is due and payable upon completion. This fee does not include: the cost of domain registration, hosting set up fee, hosting, merchant account, and secure online authorization or shopping cart which will be handled on an account-by-account basis.

Maintenance costs are calculated on a monthly basis, with a minimum of $25 in any month where updating is necessary. Client receives an invoice on the first of each month, and fee will be charged to credit card on file, upon approval. Fees will be assessed on an hourly basis at $100/hr. billed in 15 minute increments ie: 15 minutes = $25. No fee will be charged in a month where no updating is required.

If it becomes necessary for SLG to bring legal action to collect any sums due under this Agreement, SLG shall be entitled to collect, in addition to all damages, its collection costs, court feesand any reasonable attorney fees.

2. Copyright Ownership
Upon full payment, the client has exclusive ownership of the copyright for all text and graphics on the website.

3. Independent Contractor
SLG acknowledges that the services rendered under this Agreement shall be solely as an independent contractor. It is expressly understood that this undertaking is not a joint venture.

Submission of this form indicates the agreement between the Client and SLG.
