1. Climate for Love - Gestures of Love

Even the truest love can die in the heart if it is not nurtured, for love isn’t something you find, it's something you develop. Living lovingly is a choice that takes a commitment of time and attention. The following gestures of love are ideas for growing in love:

• Write something romantic on the mirror with lipstick.

• Leave love notes in surprising places for your partner.

• Surprise your partner by making reservations to spend the night away from your usual environment.

• Dream up ways to bring happiness to your partner that are extensions of your own dreams.

• Share a sweet childhood memory that you haven’t shared before.

• Play the Nutty Treasure Hunt. Here's how. Use peanuts in the shell and a yard of colorful ribbon. (If both of you want to hide peanuts, use two colors of ribbon.) Cut the ribbon into four-inch pieces then tie the pieces around 8 peanuts (16 peanuts for both of you). Hide the decorated peanuts for your partner and decide upon the rules of the game together. For instance, upon finding a decorated peanut, your partner might be granted one affectionate action. After each affectionate action break open the shell and feed a peanut to each other. This game can go on for a day, a week, or a month, depending on how well you hide peanuts.
